Day 1:

You may or may not know why the title to this blog is Day 1.

Last night while flicking through the top free books in the Ibooks store, I came across “impress the world with your body in seven days” by David Madows. I’ve always been sceptical of these kinds of books that promise so much and usually deliver very little. Although as I’ve just started my blog up again I thought this would give me plenty to tell you about and say if it actually works.

The book is set into 7 days and each day you take a different part of staying healthy and try to make it a habit, and so at the end of the 7 days you should be doing all the right stuff to keep your body young. In day 1 all it tells you to do is to say every day for the rest of my life “I have decided that I will change my life. In a short time I will be thinner, stronger, healthier, younger looking and more attractive. I am ready to start!” and that’s it for day one. This doesn’t really fulfil me with confidence as I’m still sceptical about whether it will actually do any good.

All he gives you as a reason for why it works is his word (which I’m not really prepared to believe all that much because he’s only written this book to make money). He does go on to say research it more though. Surely to make it sound more believable he could have quoted some research that backs up his theory in the book.

He also says this is going to take time in the book so here’s the deal, if I feel better in all these ways at the end of the week I will continue with it and if not there will be a bit of a rant about how much I worked to fulfil it. This said, he does say you will feel a difference at the end of the week.

He has a list at the front of the book saying how it will change you and I just thought I would share it with you

Your body:

Better balance/posture
Bowel regularity
Decreased blood pressure
Fewer injuries resulting from weak muscles
Fewer sick days
Healthier appetite
Improved bone density
Improved digestion
Improved Immune system
Improved muscle health
Increased energy
Increased life span
Increased metabolism
Increased strength
More lean body mass
Reduction in disease
Stronger bones
Weight loss

Your appearance:
Healthier gums
Healthier hair
Healthier skin
Less bloating
Less tooth decay
More flexibility
Greater muscle definition

Your psyche:
Better sleep patterns
Improved mental health (no more stress and depression)
Increased confidence

As you can see this is quite a list that this book is saying it can help me achieve, let’s just see if it actually does what I says on the cover.

Geocaching in the new forrest

Well today was different, apart from the bit where I lazed for the morning!

As I said on the previous blog, I went out geocaching today. Instead of me giving a pretty poor description of it here’s a link to their website and that video in the middle is the best way of describing it without making it sound complicated. http://www.geocaching.com/

The plan today was to head out to the new forest as tomorrow it’s supposed to rain allot and kind of end this reasonably nice weather eve been having. So with high hopes and a GPS we headed out into the forest in search of the geocache. Getting to a geocache is normally the easiest part because their all off some sort of path and so we decided not to march through the bog today.

After about a half hour walking we ended up in a small clump of holly trees looking for the caches hiding place. unfortunately i would show you some pictures but the uploader is deciding it dosnt want to work so they will be atached to a later blog.

Now after reading this through I came to a slight dilemma. This blog is slightly on the short side. So to make it worthwhile you coming here I have something else I want to air. Yesterday I went out and bought mercenaries, and yes I know this got awful reviews but it was only £5 and I wanted to see for myself. To my disappointment when I put in the disk to have a go this morning I realised that for some reason it crashes during the character selection screen. This is of course very annoying because it now means I have to cycle all the way into Poole to get my money back. Surely it can’t be too hard for them to quickly check that the games work in the shop! Surely it’s just a case of chucking it in a machine and checking it plays. Even when you take it back they just put it in a CD cleaner. If you’ve ever had the joy of using one of these before, you’ll know that their rubbish and to just ask for your money back. And anyway I’ve still had to cycle back again!

And don’t even get me started about GT5 being delayed AGAIN!

what does this thing do again?

Well hello.

(That sounded a bit camp didn’t it?)

Anyway as you should have realised if you’re one of the few people ever to read this is that you one of the few readers of this blog have told me that somebody actually read this so I decided to not to do the coursework i should probably be doing, but instead proclaim that i am going to start blogging again.

You may have also realised if you are one of the few veteran readers of this blog is that I’ve taken down all the previous blogs. This is because if somebody from school for some strange reason were to Google my name it would have come up with this blog and I would have probably been kicked out of school. Of course if you are someone who has done that and works at the school none of that happened. Unless it’s after we’ve left, and then I meant all of what I said.

Another reason is that I’m currently quite tipsy and listening to plastic beach by Gorillaz very loudly.

Not sure what the music has to do with it, but what the hell.

It’s a good album anyhows.

I suppose I should launch into full frontal moaning as I used to anyway. I could rant on about how we are having our thoughts diverted away from the important things such as politics but of course some fat bloke in a mansion has already won that battle (bloody hell this is turning into an essay for comm’s.) but no I’m going to rant on about, well actually there’s a problem there. While typing this it took me a good 15 mins to think of something to rant about. I first saw the Christmas Argos book, had a flick through, gave the boy on the front a moustache. Then drank more beer. To be quite honest with you if it takes me this long to think about something to rant about, then I don’t think there is. But once again, it’s probably the beer.

Anyhow I’ll post a slightly more meaningful blog tomorrow about geocaching in the new forest when ive sobered up again.
